Care Instructions

To pro-long the life of your jewellery items I always recommend:

  • Avoid showering, bathing, swimming washing your hands or doing household chores when wearing your jewellery.

  • Treat your jewellery with care, remove before exercising to avoid damage.

  • Storing in a dust proof jewellery box or airtight container will extend the life of the metal plating. Please note that plating is not permanent.

  • Contact with sunscreens, creams, hairsprays, perfume, salt/chlorinated water, soaps and chemicals can cause damage to the stones and metals I use in my pieces.

Our Materials

My jewellery features stunning natural stones and farmed pearls in various colours and shapes sourced from all over the world. The origin of our gemstones is as multicultural as our Aussie community. From Indian Tourmaline to Chinese freshwater pearls, NOA Australia sources pieces that will bring the best sparkle and the most unique aesthetic to the designs.

I use a variety of alloy metals that are fundamentally important in jewellery making. Pure precious metals are often too soft for everyday wear. Alloying — mixing two or more metals — enhances essential properties such as durability, strength, and affordability.

Most of my designs are made with tarnish resistant plated stainless steel. You will notice this material has rich colours with finishes being closer to a rich gold and gunmetal grey over your super shiny alloy metals. Stainless steel is hypoallergenic and the main choice for metals in my designs due to its durability. I also use limited sterling silver, 18K gold plated steel, brass and copper based zinc alloys. Whilst I aim to avoid items that containing nickel some manufacturers may put it into mass alloy productions. Customers with severe allergies should avoid purchasing plated metals.

All plated metals including gold vermeil will naturally tarnish overtime. Metals react to heat, body oils and other chemicals during wear. It is important to follow our care instructions to ensure your items remains like new for as long as possible. Tarnishing is not considered a fault of the product.

You may find variation of metal tones used in your items because I aim to specifically design pieces so that any eventual changes in metal tones due to general wear won’t take away for the beachy bohemian look of your items.
